Stonebridge at Montgomery earns “Gold Seal of Approval”

Stonebridge at Montgomery, a full-service senior living community, announced it has once again earned the highest vote of confidence from the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CARF-CCAC), an independent national accrediting organization. Only 15 percent of senior communities nationwide hold this distinction.

The coveted CARF-CCAC seal of approval assures consumers that a community has met or exceeded the highest quality standards of excellence in three critical areas:

  • Resident life, health and wellness
  • Financial resources and disclosure
  • Governance and administration

“CARF-CCAC accreditation lets both current and prospective residents know that we are meeting the highest standards of service and care in the senior living industry,” Stonebridge at Montgomery Executive Director Thomas Wright said.

CARF-CCAC reviewers made note of the community’s “strong sense of service” to residents, the dedication of employees, quality and variety of activities, a commitment to solar energy and more.

The CARF-CCAC review process is exhaustive and comprehensive. At Stonebridge, planning begins six to nine months in advance, with departments and teams making sure they meet each of the required over 1,000 quality standards. “It’s a daunting task. Not only are the standards very high, we are evaluated relative to our peers in the senior living industry,” Wright said.

Here in New Jersey, only 10 senior living communities hold CARF-CCAC accreditation. Five of them, including Stonebridge, are part of the Princeton-based Springpoint Senior Living organization.

The Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC) was founded in 1985 as the nation’s only accrediting body for continuing care retirement communities and similar organizations. In 2003, CCAC merged with CARF, a nonprofit accreditor founded in 1966 that serves a wide range of human service organizations.
