The Montgomery Baseball League (MBL) celebrated “Monty Night Out” at the Somerset Patriots game vs. Long Island Ducks on April 28 at 7:05 p.m. With over 500 seats selected, we had the 50/50 draw as well. We were able to choose 3 kids to throw out the first pitch and the MBL’s very own, Laurie Bilyeu, sang the National Anthem. The three pitchers selected were David Reynolds (7th grade), Jack Tonra (5th grade), and Justin Swerdlow (1st grade). The Somerset Patriots won their first game that night, 14-3, and to cap the night off they had fireworks at TD Bank Ballpark after the game.
