The Small Business Development Center at Raritan Valley Community College will present a Real Life Series: State of New Jersey Business Tax Workshop March 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will be held in the atrium at the college’s Branchburg campus. Registration will begin at 9 a.m.
The informative small business workshop will present an overview of New Jersey State taxes and the services available to small business owners. The program is geared toward business owners or those who are planning to start a business.
Topics to be covered include: registering a business in New Jersey; business entities and tax consequences; estimated New Jersey tax payments; New Jersey sales taxes and new small- business tax changes in the state.
The event, sponsored by the United States Small Business Administration, will feature presenter James Gordon of the NJ Division of Taxation Public Education & Tax Training.
