A coach with a girls softball team in the South Brunswick area has been charged with using a stolen credit card to book hotel rooms for players traveling to Florida.

Andre Harris, a team manager, surrendered himself to authorities Thursday, according to the Star-Ledger.

Authorities say a woman in California got charged more than $10,000 on her Discover Card this summer for payments to T-Mobile, Cablevision and a block of rooms from July 1 to Aug. 1 at the Swan and Dolphin Hotel in Walt Disney World.

The New Jersey Thunder – a group of teams for girls age 13 to 23 – was playing in a tournament in Orlando.

Harris, 28, of North Brunswick, faces three counts of third-degree fraudulent use of a credit card, one count of theft by deception and one count of credit card theft. He was released on his recognizance.
