The Royal Health Gate Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility on Brunswick Avenue in Trenton, the site of alleged assaults on a patient.

An employee at a Trenton nursing home and rehabilitation facility has been charged with repeated sexual assaults on a 56-year-old patient, according to The Times of Trenton.

Police arrested Eric Brown, 34, of Trenton, on Sunday. He then attempted suicide that night by hanging himself while in the police lock-up, according to authorities.

Police interceded, and he was taken to Capital Health’s Crisis Unit.

A witness told police Sunday that he saw Brown in a room with the victim at the Royal Health Gate Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility on Brunswick Avenue. Police arrived and arrested him there.

A police spokesman told The Times that Brown seems to have done this to the same person more than once. He faces four counts of aggravated sexual assault.
